| GUARDIAN PROGRAM |

Thank you for your interest in our Guardian Program. At Homestead Doodles, the health, safety and wellbeing of our breeding dogs is our first priority. We go to great lengths to provide a long-lasting and loving environment for all of our dogs where their long-term care comes first. This is why we place our breeding dogs in Guardian Homes; we never place our dogs in kennels or rehome them after breeding.
Our Guardian Dogs are placed with a qualified family (aka Guardian Home) at eight (8) weeks old and they remain in that home for the duration of their lives. Homestead Doodles chooses the pick of the litter as the Guardian Dog and retains ownership of the Guardian Dog while in the care of a qualified family. When the breeding obligations have been fulfilled, typically after three breeding’s or a maximum of five years, Homestead Doodles transfers full ownership of the altered (spayed/neutered) Guardian Dog to the Guardian at no cost.
As the Guardian you will be required to provide a loving home that is safe and stable for the Guardian Dog. In addition, the Guardian will pay for the everyday expenses of owning a pet. Homestead Doodles will provide support and guidance to the Guardian while paying for all breeding related costs. The responsibilities of the parties are outlined below and will be formalized with a Guardian Contract should the applicant be approved for a Guardian Dog.
